Consulting

We understand that the independent special school sector has schools that vary in size considerably so have developed a sliding scale for daily costs for consultant support.

  • Schools with under 10 students - £500
  • Schools with 10 - 30 students - £600
  • Schools with 30+ students - £750

These costs cover general bespoke consultancy support outside of the set programme costings that follow. All costings are agreed in advance. 

 

New School Start Up

We can support you through the pre-reg checks and visit from Ofsted to unsure you meet all the requirements to open a new school. We can then provide ongoing support to guide through the initial set up processes and vision journey.

Independent School Standards audit and report

 A full audit against the Independent School Standards with report and action plan will be undertaken. The report will be completed within three working days.  

This comes at a cost of:

  • £600

Residential Support

We have consultants who can undertake Reg44 audits or support and also help plan the cross over with education the same site.

This is charged at vour daily consultancy rate and the number of support days afreed in advance depending on need. 

 

 

School Improvement Partner

We will provide three full day visits, tailored to meet the needs of the school.  The focus and schedule of these visits will be agreed with the school. This may include, but is not limited to: 

  • Reviewing the quality of education
  • Supporting the development of leadership and management at all levels
  • Assisting with preparation for Ofsted inspections, including reviewing key documentation along with impact and progress evidence.

The school will receive a record of each visit, which can be part of your evidence of external challenge and validation.  The school can contact the Improvement Partner by phone or email to discuss specific school issues.   

Cost - £ 1,750

If your school needs higher level support with more visits this will be charged at £500 per day

 

Curriculum Planning

If you need subject specialists, or simply support with planning a whole school curriculum se have specialists who can help.

 

This is charged at vour daily consultancy rate and the number of support days afreed in advance depending on need. 

 

Head teacher performance management

Comsultant  half–- day  visit  to school which  includes: 

  • Pre  meeting  with  Headteacher,
  • pre  meeting  with  Proprietor or governance committee
  • Performance Management session with Headteacher
  • Supporting  Proprietors or governance committees’  evaluation  of  the  Headteacher
  • Performance Management  objectives  from  the  previous  academic  year,  including  impact  of any  training  attended
  • Facilitating  discussion  and  agreement  of  Headteacher  objectives  for  the  current academic  year,  with  reference  to  the  national  standards  ( and National  standards  of excellence  for  Headteachers
  • A  written  report  sent  as  a  record  of  discussions  and  objectives  agreed.

Cost - £600

SENCO/SEN Support

 

We have qualified and experienced SENCOs that can help develop and support your school SEN  processes including staff SEN training, provision mapping and integrated support.

This is charged at vour daily consultancy rate and the number of support days afreed in advance depending on need.

We can provide training on:

  • Curriculum,

  • Wellbeing

  • Positive Behaviour
  • Reporting

 

Cost per day is dependent on number of staff to train and number of trainers. Average cost is £600 for a day. (virtual training available on request)

 

 

 

 

Parental Advice

We are happy to support parents with issues around schools and Local Authorites. We can help  represent parents with Local Authorities up to tribunal level. 

Prices agreed on referral.

 

 

Turn around programme
 

If you have failed to reach the standards in a inspection and have achieved a rating below Good this programme will support you through the changes needed to improve your school. This will include:

  • analysis of Ofsted report and goal setting
  • development of a clear and effective whole school improvement plan
  • support with staffing and management issues
  • curriculum design analysis
  • ISS audit
  • Action plan
  • Training day for staff to support improvement plan
  • five days onsite support

Cost - £5000 -£8000 depending on size and compexity

Recruitment support

We are Safer recruitment trained and can organise interviews and recruit quality personnel, which many schools struggle to find.
